This policy explains what information 360 News collects, why, and how long we keep it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the publication.
Information we collect
The only personal information we actively collect comes from the contact form. When you send us a message we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and the message itself. We also keep a temporary, one-way hash of your IP address for one hour for rate limiting and abuse prevention; the raw IP address is not stored.
The form is delivered to our editorial inbox through an email delivery provider, which processes the message content for that purpose. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use privacy-oriented analytics to understand which articles are read. These tools may set the following first-party cookies:
- Matomo:
_pk_id.*(visitor identifier, up to 13 months) and_pk_ses.*(session, 30 minutes). - Statcounter:
sc_is_visitor_unique(visitor identifier, up to 5 years).
If you prefer not to be counted, you can block these cookies in your browser; the site will keep working normally. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Images and infrastructure
Article images are served from Backblaze B2, which receives the technical request needed to deliver the image. The site itself runs on a self-managed server with an object cache.
Comments and accounts
Comments are closed and we do not offer user accounts, so we do not collect profile information.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete a message you sent us. Write to us through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes
If we add a new tool that changes how data is handled, we update this page.
